Wire for Flower Arranging
If you are using many flowers for your flower arrangement, you have to make sure the heavier and bigger flowers have enough support to stay standing and healthy for the entire event. Using flower arrangement wire is a fantastic and easy way to give extra support to those bigger flowers.
If you have a flower that keeps falling over, simply tie the wire around the stem very tightly, and place the flower back into the arrangement. If it doesn't stay up by itself, tighten the wire. If it does stay up, take it out and wrap the step in green tape to conceal the wire you tied to the stem. The tape also ensures that water will stay close to the stem and your flowers will stay alive.
There are certain types of flower wire that are made for decoration. That way you don't have to use tape to conceal the wire, but your flowers will still get the support they need to survive. This way you can wrap the wire in different designs and patters down the stem of the flower to give your arrangement a more unique feel.
